Job Description

We are working with a public sector organisation based in Newport who are looking for an Environmental Programmer to develop the organisations environmental improvement programme. You will be providing surveying services across its housing stock to achieve the company’s corporate objectives.This is what you’ll be doing

  • To undertake stock condition surveys with a focus on gardens and related assets and update the details in respect of existing stock condition.
  • Inspection of assets and the application of standards, Including but not limited to Health & Safety, WHQS, HHSRS, Section 11 Landlord and Tenant Act, Section 4 Defective Premises Act.
  • Provide technical advice on repairs and maintenance issues to staff of other sections and departments
  • Undertake inspections of estates, communal areas, open spaces and other areas as directed to identify risks and raise works orders as appropriate.
  • Where required advising residents on tenancy issues, such as garden maintenance, dog fouling, rubbish collection and other areas that impact on our sites.

  • Asbestos Awareness Level 1 Certificate and or skills Level 2 Certificate
  • Significant experience within a similar role of similar responsibilities
  • Be able to network confidently and establish operational relationships with target groups, potential partners and external stakeholders.
