Job Description

  • To be accountable for the safe and effective clinical and operational functioning of a defined unit.
  • To provide credible clinical leadership to a defined staff group
  • Act in a professional role manner clinical leader, a resource for staff, and supporting, guiding and supervising staff as required.
  • Develops and supports an environment which supports competent ethical nursing care
  • Integrates team members with clear information and creates opportunities to influence work objectives, planning and organisation
  • Develops and implements strategies to facilitate effective communication pathways
  • You will need:
  • Relevant experience as RMN/RNMH/RNLD
  • Professional training in a related environment
  • Recognised Mentorship certification
  • NVQ Assessor Qualification
  • Values based practice
  • Leadership skills
  • Administrative, planning and organisational skills
  • A knowledge of the organizational policies and procedures
  • Report writing
  • Where you will be workingLocation: Aberbeeg Hospital, Aberbeeg, Abertillery, NP13 2DAYou will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team at Aberbeeg Hospital, a 12 bedded low secure service for men with a brand new modern medium secure ward opening in 2021.Aberbeeg Hospital focuses on empowering recovery and independence through the least restrictive practices and vocational activities, including working with the in-house Aberbeeg radio station and our residential animals.Aberbeeg is located within the boundaries of the county borough of Caerphilly, set in 11.5 acres of land with beautiful views of the Welsh countryside.What you will get
