Job Description

Major Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Workshop Technician who specialises in Machining, on behalf of an Industrial Tools and Services company. This position would be a Permanent, Full-Time position, based in Dyce, Aberdeen. As the successful Workshop Technician, you will be responsible for:-

  • Repairing hydraulic equipment including disassembly, inspection, troubleshooting, replacement of parts, reassembly, checking and performing operational test.
  • Filling equipment request orders including job preparation
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment repairs and documenting all repairs.
  • Calibration-Certification of Accuracy Testing duty including performing and documenting the actual testing/calibration of product
  • Using gauging devices and performing various quality inspections

  • Basic understanding of Mechanical systems and use of hand tools
  • Basic level of fault finding and analytical skills.
  • Ability to operate forklift and overhead crane
  • Ability to read basic assembly drawings
  • Flexible in approach and willing to assist in other areas of the workshop as required
