The role will be home-based, however, the successful candidate will be required to visit our office at the Aberdeen Royal Infirmary on occasion.The RoleAs a Transport Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for co-ordinating the operation of our Transport Service covering Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire and Moray.Our Patient Transport Service helps patients who have been discharged from hospital get home safely thanks to our wonderful volunteers who offer their time and vehicles to support people in their community.Supporting the Service Manager, you will:- Oversee the day-to-day co-ordination of the volunteers- Assist with volunteer recruitment, training and support- Help promote the growth and uptake of the service- Build and maintain strong partnerships with the NHS Board and Local Authority- Undertake general administrative duties- Ensure all activities are delivered in line with service level agreements and safeguarding policiesInterested To be considered, youll need:- Experience of working with, and motivating, volunteers- An understanding of, and ability, to comply with Data Protection laws- Excellent communications skills- The ability to act on your own initiative- Some knowledge and understanding of the NHS, Commissioning Groups and local authority Commissioning including Health and Social Care bodies- The ability to proficiently use standard IT systems- GCSEs or equivalent in Maths and English at grade A-C- A valid driving licence with access to a car is desirableThis role will require a PVG check.Why you should join our teamWere proud to be in the top 25 not-for-profit organisations to work for in the UK, based on ratings from Indeed.
