Job Description

When developing training, you will be involved from the inception and scoping, innovation in the design and ultimately, delivery of the finished product.You will have full responsibility for training projects. This is supported throughout including technical reviews, a separate team of eLearning developers and peer reviews within the training team.The Audit Training team work closely with various stakeholders in audit – quality, technical and, importantly, the client facing audit teams to develop and deliver a programme of training that both responds to the regulatory rigours of the professionand complements the professional development of every member of the audit team.The use of innovative training design across a range of delivery formats is a primary focus of our training strategy. You will liaise with Senior Training Managers from other service lines to help deliver this objective.Responsibilities

  • You will write and deliver audit courses for classroom and digital delivery.
  • You will be expected to work closely with relevant members of the management team, particularly those in audit, to establish the training needs that exist and ensure the programme design meets those needs.
  • You will need excellent communication skills and be able to suggest appropriate learning solutions, whether these are classroom courses, webinars, videos or other media.
  • You should be imaginative and pro-active in your approach to developing both individual training courses and the programme of courses.
  • The firm uses accelerated learning techniques in its course delivery and whilst it is not necessary to be experienced or trained in these techniques you must be willing to embrace them with appropriate guidance. These techniques use courses that are moreinteractive and put the emphasis on the learner, where possible, finding out the relevant information rather than the trainer solely delivering material in a lecture style.
  • Classroom courses will be delivered nationally and there is a requirement to travel to any of our RSM offices.
About the ideal candidate
  • Above all, we are looking for a candidate who is passionate about the audit profession and excited about the opportunity to design and deliver a range of training through different delivery formats.
  • You will be able to adapt your style in design and delivery to suit different audiences ranging from new students to experienced partners.
  • Your understanding of the RSM audit business coupled with an in-depth knowledge of the profession will be complemented by excellent project management and teamwork skills to help deliver this objective.
  • The ability to combine robust technical knowledge with creativity in the design and delivery of training programmes is an important attribute for the role.
The role requires:
  • You will be ACA, ICAS or equivalent qualified and will have experience coaching and training staff.
  • You will have previous experience of working on external audits and can relate to experiences in the delivery of training.
  • You will have good technical knowledge of the ISAs and audit skills training ability.
  • You will be creative and enjoy delivering quality training in person and digitally.
  • The role is home based with an option to work flexibly from your local office. Delivery of training and meetings are both online and face to face. Therefore, there is a requirement to be able to travel anywhere nationally. *Substantial advance notice ofall travel requirements is generally given.
