Job Description

CK Group are recruiting for a Technical Manager on behalf of a specialist chemical manufacturer, to be based at their site in Aberdeen on a full time, permanent basis offering a salary around £40,000 per annumThe Company:Our client are specialists in the manufacture and supply of specially formulated chemical products to a wide variety of industriesTechnical Manager Role:The Technical Manager is responsible for providing technical advice and services in relation to developing new product formulas, testing and assisting the Sales team with customer orders and requirements.Your duties will include:

  • To assist in developing new product formulae, and testing and approving of new raw materials as required.
  • To ensure smooth running of laboratory.
  • To assist in providing all necessary technical service support to customers and salespeople to ensure that correct product is provided and used to fulfil customer’s needs and desires.
  • To assist in ensuring that all necessary quality control resources are in place and that all calibrations are kept up to date.
  • Assist in ensuring that the lab and associated work areas are operating effectively and efficiently at all times and maintained in a clean and organised condition.
  • Any other activities or duties which from time to time may be reasonably required by your line manager (Managing Director).
Your Background:The ideal candidate for this role will have:
  • Degree/HNC in Chemistry or related
  • Technical based experience, preferably in a laboratory setting.
  • An understanding of the chemical manufacturing industry - desirable
