Job Description

RoleAs a Team Leader you will be responsible for day-to-day line management of their testing team. The Team Leader will lead by example, ensuring all aspects of our QHSE processes are followed and will engage and develop the team through effective people management. ResponsibilitiesAs a result of year on year success within the company and continued business growth, exciting opportunities have arisen to join and lead their team of highly skilled scientists at their cGMP laboratories. As a Team Leader you will be responsible for:

  • Prepare and oversee day-to-day operations within the analytical department, optimising processes where necessary
  • Manage a team of analytical scientists specialising in routine testing, method validation and analytical development
  • Providing full analytical testing to support pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical production within cGMP guidelines, in order to successfully meet client needs
  • Carrying out quantitative measurements of pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical compounds in a variety of formulations to support product development, stability testing and batch certification.
  • Communicate effectively between departments and provide detailed instruction
  • Plan, schedule and carry out work effectively for successful project completion
  • Produce accurate documentation and report all analytical activities and results in a clear and coherent manner, maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance
Desired Experience and Skillset
  • Educated to Degree level in Chemistry or relevant scientific field
  • Excellence in analytical chemistry including techniques such as HPLC
  • Demonstrated managerial and leadership qualities
  • 5+ years experience working within a cGMP standard laboratory
  • Demonstrated ability to write study protocols and reports independently
  • Excellent IT literacy skills
