Job Description

Our clients a leading Oil and Gas operator in Aberdeen are looking for a Cyber Security Senior Project Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. Role: Senior Project Engineer (Cyber Security) Location: Aberdeen/hybrid working style Rate: Negotiable PAYE or Umb Hours: 37.5hrs per week Duration: Until September 2023 Position OverviewReporting to the Facilities Manager, the Senior Project Engineer (Cyber Security) will be part of a team tasked with the delivery of complex Opex and Capex project scopes through all project stages (Appraise to Execute) across RSR assets. This role will havespecific oversight of the companys programme of risk assessment and review of Cyber Security threats to Industrial Control Systems and will be expected to apply common tools and techniques across project Facilities scopes. Accountabilities

  • Oversee risk review and assessment of ICS Cybersecurity
  • Deliver Opex and Capex modifications pertaining to ICS Cybersecurity on schedule and within budget, as per asset requirements.
  • Maintain a firm understanding of the threat Cyber Attacks pose in both regular IT (Information Technology) and OT (Operational Technology / industrial automation) environments and the potential consequences of such attacks
Key Duties
  • Work in compliance with the Integrated Project Management (IPM) system and specific Project Execution Plans (PEPs) where applicable.
  • Maintain high standards of HSE performance, within area of responsibility and influence.
  • Identify and implement improvements across the business
  • Identify, manage and maintain visibility of risks and opportunities relevant to area of responsibility. Develop and communicate mitigation and contingency plans as appropriate.
  • Ensure use of Project Management tools for assigned projects:
    • Project Execution Plan
    • Estimation
    • Risk Management and Mitigation Procedures
    • Management of Change Process
    • Technical Query Process
    • Lessons Learnt Process
    • Consistent adherence and application of the Project Management and Management of Change Processes across all Assets
Education Attainment & Accreditation
  • Qualified at degree level or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline
Professional Skills & Experience
  • Technical understanding of cybersecurityparticularly as it relates to ICS.
  • Technical understanding and experience working with control systemspreferably in the Oil and Gas industry
  • Technical understanding of regulations, codes, standards, guidelines and good practice for the UKCS oil and gas industry.
  • Significant engineering and technical experience gained in an oil and gas engineering and project delivery environment ideally with both operator and contractor experience
  • Sound appreciation of industry technology trends, developments and challenges
Circumstances
  • Ability to travel offshore is essential
