Job Description

Provide technical expertise relating to offshore operations ensuring work is completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with Client and Company requirements.Client DetailsOur client manufacturers some of the UKs most well known brands and they pride themselves on innovation and customer satisfaction.Description

  • Ensuring that all engineering is executed safely and efficiently and is of a high quality
  • Ensuring that Engineering input to tendering discipline is maintained
  • Ensuring that project team engineering resource is manage correctly
  • Ensure that all variations and disputes are properly supported
  • Ensure that the project engineering adheres to IMS processes and procedures
  • Ensuring that engineering discipline is maintained
  • Ensuring key supplier interfaces are managed effectively
  • May also be required to manage a team of engineers in the position of Lead Engineer
  • Conceptual design and layouts
  • Design, fabrication and test activities
  • Supervisor and responsible for activities assigned to 3rd Party Contractors. This includes:
    • Prepare Scope of Work
    • Participate in vendor selection process
    • Site Supervision
    • Approval of deliverables
    • Compliance with project targets
    • Full management of subcontractors
  • Responsible and accountable for remaining within budget (man hours and materials) and other targets for optimising final cost and schedule
  • Responsible for all interfaces relevant to the task under their responsibility including Client, Subcontractors, Internal Entities and Vessels
  • Responsible for all offshore activities relevant to the task under their responsibility
  • Ensure that the Project Manager is provided with adequate financial information to enable correct and accurate preparation of project status report
  • Be aware of the contractual aspects of the project
  • Ensure that the applicable engineering aspects of the quality and safety plans are implemented in accordance with the client and statutory requirements
  • Interface with CAD Services to assure that the drawing requirements and delivery schedules for the project are understood
  • Perform any other duties as directed by the Project Manager
  • Advise and assist commercial department with tenders for potential work
  • Ad-hoc duties as deemed required to complete the Workscope
  • Mentor Junior / Graduate Engineers
Profile
  • Suitable engineering degree or equivalent engineering experience
  • Considerable amount of experience within diving / ROV installation construction and inspection industry
  • Working knowledge of UK HSEQ legislation and the application of this to Subsea activities.
  • Competent Microsoft Office suite user
  • Competent Microsoft Project user.
  • Experienced in use of AutoCAD
  • Experience in the use of design & installation software would be an advantage
  • Offshore medical and survival certificates
