Job Description

35k - 40K + CAR ALLOWANCE + OTETwo years ago, Menzies launched our national express network in the UK operating from 33 of our 100 locations nationally. We deliver parcels in the business-to-business markets including for some of the biggest UK brands and specialise in retail, office,education, and light industrial markets. In Scotland we have 23 depots working in partnership with our national customers and mainline express carriers in the Highlands and Islands.We have an opportunity for 2 enthusiastic individuals to join our business with two roles available (1 based in Aberdeen and 1 in Inverness). The roles are to grow and manage our customer bases in the Highlands of Scotland. Today Menzies has a small highlysuccessful team focused on bringing the Menzies brand and network to life in the UK. All our UK mainland operations are handled in house and in 2022 we are delighted to have launched our Net Zero 2035 strategy.KEY DUTIES

  • To develop and secure new business opportunities in line with the Companys strategy and goals that add real value, margin and EBIT and grow the new business portfolio.
  • To target specific market sectors above and as specified under the direction of the Regional Sales Manager.
  • Understand the Companys goal and purpose to enhance the Companys reputation and performance.
  • Close new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations.
  • Work both solely and in conjunction with the Corporate Relationship Executive to prospect for potential new clients to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities and turn this into increased business.
  • Meet potential clients and the decision makers within the client organisation by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network.
ROLE SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
  • A minimum of 2 Years experience in a sales development capacity in a business-to-business environment;
  • Prior experience of logistics is desirable but not essential for the role.
  • Demonstratable track record of negotiation.
  • Strong presentation and representation skills and experience.
  • Willingness to learn about logistics.
  • Full and current UK driving license.
