Job Description

Wilson James is a leading provider of safe, secure, customer-led solutions to more than 300 clients across the UK and Europe. We have been raising standards for 25 years across three core service lines; security, construction logistics and business services.We are seeking two well turned out, flexible and enthusiastic officers to join the security operations at our clients prestigious and high profile site in Dyce. Working in a team on a Relief basis you will be an integral part of a successful security operation.Main Responsibilities:

  • To provide security cover at a commercial site for a major oil and gas producer
  • Greet visitors to the site in a professional and friendly manner
  • To ensure that your SIA Licence is on display at all times while at work
  • Any additional reasonable duties requested by operational management

  • Carry out any other reasonable request as required by your Line Manager or the Customer
    • Health and Safety responsibilitiesEnsure work is carried out in accordance with site/department procedures and training provided.
  • Comply with the WJ Health and Safety Policy, procedures and protocols at all times
  • Ensure you have received the required training prior to commencing works
  • Ensure that you are working in accordance with the safe system of works, as briefed by your Line Manager
  • Ensure that you are fit for work prior to reporting for duty each day
  • Report any health and safety concerns to your line manager
  • Once Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) has been issued ensure that you keep it serviceable at all times and report any defects to your line manager
  • Always ensure while at work you are wearing the correct PPE
  • If you are operating machinery/plant/vehicles you must operate safely in accordance with the instruction and training provided
  • Set a good example at all times
    • Required Skills/Experience:Essential
  • Deliver excellent customer service
  • Basic IT Skills
  • Demonstrate the ability to think and act quickly in emergencies or under pressure
  • Have an ability to deliver succinct and clear verbal and written reports where necessary
  • Maintain a high standard of personal presentation
  • Demonstrate reliability including the ability to deliver high standards of both punctuality and attendance in order to ensure team effectiveness and availability
  • Able to demonstrate an ability to work as part of a team.
  • Able to deal calmly and confidently with all demands from the public.
  • An understanding of the principles of equality and diversity in relation to visitors needs.
  • An interest in and commitment to the work of Wilson James for its clients

  • Prior experience on a similar site or similar role
    • Essential Skills
  • SIA Licence (Door Supervisor or Security Guard) - This must be included on your CV in order for your application to be considered
