Job Description

Job Title: Refrigeration Commissioning EngineerLocation: Aberdeen and the surrounding areasSalary: Competitive + car allowance or company van / car + pension + medical, 33 days holiday (including bank holidays), opportunities for overtime availableHours: 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday)Job Function:Our client is one of the UKs leaders in providing innovative construction and engineering solutions for clients within a variety of sectors including Retail, Health, Education and Commercial.An opportunity has become available for a Refrigeration Commissioning Engineer to join our client to work within the Aberdeenshire region.The successful candidate will undertake Refrigeration installation, commissioning and maintenance works alongside the Refrigeration Commissioning team.Main Accountabilities:

  • Delivery of Refrigeration commissioning works on site in compliance with the agreed project specification and within agreed timescales.
  • Liaison with the Project / Installation Manager at all times striving to ensure that project works are delivered on time, snag free and to the agreed specification.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant health and safety regulations, company HSE management systems, procedures or instructions as they apply and to ensure that all colleagues and sub-contractors follow safe systems of work on site.
  • Striving to achieve snag free completion and where snagging occurs to ensure it is resolved within 6 working days.
  • Identification and resolution of commissioning and fault finding issues that may affect project delivery.
  • There will be opportunities to work on the very latest in refrigeration technology.
  • From time to time it may be required to work in other areas across the UK to cover during holiday periods and at times of high demand.
Skills Required:
  • Excellent technical knowledge and experience of working on refrigeration systems within the food retail sector
  • Experience in working unsupervised
  • A can do attitude and self-motivation
  • Flexibility in working hours and travel requirements
  • A good degree of IT literacy
  • Holding a full and clean driving licence
  • Excellent communication skills
Essential Qualifications:
  • NVQ Level 3 (Refrigeration & Air Conditioning)
  • City & Guilds (2079) F - Gas Cat 1
  • CO2
  • Working knowledge of RDM and Carel Equipment
