Job Description

We have a current opportunity for a Project QS / SeniorQS on a permanent basis. The position will be based in Aberdeen. They have the skills, ability and local knowledge to deliver a standard of work that delivers projectsin a safe and professional manner.Due to a new development being awarded this has created the job opening for a Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Aberdeen.Your new roleAs a Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for all aspects of finances relating to main contracting. Your job will comprise of issuing targets to ensure maximum productivity for the company, along with constant remeasures of works carried out to dateand works to completion, to ensure your new company is paid in full for work carried out. Your job will also involve financial reports, cost value reporting, payments internally and externally. You will be required to prepare extension of time claims whereapplicable, contra charges, payment notifications, notification of delays, tender cost analysis, dayworks, forecasting, valuations, final accounts negotiating and measuring. Along with acceptance of subcontractors and issuing tender enquiries.Your new job will be site based in Aberdeen.What you will need to succeedYou will come from an academic background in Quantity Surveying accredited by the RICS. You will have a practical and logical mind and a methodical way of thinking. You will have a creative and innovative approach to problem solving with a strong numeracyand financial management skill set. You will have the ability to learn sophisticated design and costing IT Packages and the ability to write clear and precise reports and be able to explain complex information in a simple way to a diverse group of people.You will have excellent negotiation skills and work well in a team.
