Job Description

Project EngineerAberdeen£34,000 - £40,000 + Excellent Training + Progression + Holidays + Company Pension + Flexi-Time Fridays + Bike To Work + Employee DiscountsAre you a qualified Mechanical or Marine Engineer who is searching for an opportunity to excel in their career by making the move into Offshore and Renewable EnergyThe company has over 40 years experience within the offshore energy sector and have a 5 year strategy in place to ensure that over 50% of their projects are Renewable Energy focussed. They have second-to-none training as well as a clear and comprehensiveprogression programme to take someone from the graduate to the senior level.The company run an industry-leading product design and manufacturing facility that includes laboratory, design engineering, production, and testing facilities focused on the offshore energy sector.In this role you will be co-ordinating activities related to completing customer orders, including liaising with the Manufacturing team on the production of the equipment, whilst making sure that the client is kept updated and informed on its progress.The ideal candidate will be educated to at least HNC/HND level within Mechanical or Marine Engineering and will have at least 3 years experience within their field of work.The role:

  • Reviewing and taking ownership of projects from start to finish
  • Ensuring that projects are being consistently run in line with health, safety and environmental policy
  • Scheduling projects to safely meet internal and client deadlines and monitoring and reporting progress, whilst updating the FLOW project management tool in order to meet project deadlines
  • Identifying risks, mitigations and contingency plans to ensure that projects are being effectively ran
  • Preparing project budget trackers and monitoring them to ensure that projects constantly meet or exceed profit targets
  • Preparing all project documentation, including final product data book in line with client requirements
  • Co-ordinating shipping and the collection of client orders
The Person:
  • Educated to at least HNC/HND level in Mechanical or Marine Engineering
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a comparable role
  • Full UK driving licence and comfortable with occasional travel to sites
  • Good interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Open to learning and moving into the Renewable Offshore Energy sector
