An exciting opportunity has arisen with this post participating in the Universal Newborn Hearing Screening Programme including screening the hearing of newborn babies. The successful applicant must have good communication and interpersonal skills and an empathy with regard to the problems hearing impairment brings as well as being able to interact with small babies. If you are well motivated, caring, enthusiastic and willing to learn new skills this might be the job for you. Full training for screening will be provided.The work is mainly based at Aberdeen Maternity Hospital with some clinics held at peripheral locations. The work will usually be 3 set days per week based on the needs of the service.
