NHS Grampian invites enthusiastic applicant/s to join the dynamic Community Child Health Department based at Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital .The post holder will join the team of Consultants, Associate Specialists and Specialty Doctors who offer a range of Community based Paediatric Services to children and young people living in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.The post holder will have exciting opportunities to work within Child Development and Neurodisability Services . He /she will lead specified Child Development teams within the city offering Child Development/neurodisability clinics within Aberdeen City . The post holder will also have the opportunity of participating in Autistic Diagnostic Observational Schedule (ADOS ) assessmentsThis post is designated as 8 programmed activities per week. However, other more flexible arrangements such as part time, job share etc will be favourably considered.The Community Child Health department is an integral part of Combined Child Health service of NHS Grampian and has strong links with the general paediatric department and other paediatric specialties based at Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital, CAMHS and the University of Aberdeen hence offering unique opportunities for professional developmentA healthy balance between activities at work and out of work is readily achievable at NHSG. Aberdeenshire boasts many picturesque towns and villages within easy commuting distance and provides access to an enormous range of outdoor pursuits, ranging from fishing to skiing.
