Job Description

Job Title: Plumbing & Drainage TechnicianLocation: Covering Stores in Perth, Dundee, Forfar, Arbroath Aberdeen, Peterhead Inverness and Highland AreasSalary: £30,560 (salary includes on call allowance) + vehicle, pension, medical plan, 33 days holiday (includes bank holidays) + 10% ASDA Discount Card once you pass your probation periodOn Call of 1 week in every 4Permanent and Full Time - Monday -Friday - 45 hours a weekWe are advertising this role on behalf of our client City Facilities Management. The business has ambitious growth plans and is keen to attract people who are passionate about delivering great standards and service to customers.In return you will receive a competitive salary and benefits package, industry leading Induction and training through our City & Guilds training academy and the opportunity to develop and progress is only limited by your own ambition.City FM continue to enjoy sustained growth with its impressive multi-site client base which includes a National Facilities contract for ASDA.They are now actively recruiting for a Plumbing and Drainage Technician to look after ASDA stores in North Scotland, covering Perth, Dundee, Forfar, Arbroath, Aberdeen, Peterhead, Inverness and up to Tain.Role will involve plenty of travel and on average 1 night a week away from home (all expenses covered).Our client are flexible on where you are based as long as you live somewhere in the patch.Job Purpose:To maintain and repair all above-ground sanitary ware and general plumbing in ASDA stores and to maintain and clean all surface and foul water drainage systems in ASDA stores to pre-determined standards in an efficient and cost-effective manner, whilst complyingwith the laid-down Company Health and Safety policy.About The Role:

  • To install, maintain and repair drainage assets, assemble fittings and valves for installation.
  • To install supports for pipes, fixtures, equipment prior to installation and repair sump pumps
  • Attend callouts within given response times and undertake both reactive and planned works
  • Analyses problems and identify appropriate materials for repair
About you
  • Good knowledge and experience of drainage configurations (below and above ground) including internal drainage systems (minimum 2+ years experience preferred)
  • Ideally will NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing & Heating Systems or equivalent
  • High pressure water jetting trained
  • Good knowledge of health and safety practises
  • You will have a positive and flexible approach as the role does include being on call and have the ability to communicate well and work unsupervised
