Role: Payroll SpecialistLocation: Portlethen, AberdeenDuration: 12 monthsEMPLOYMENT DETAILSContract - Full Time (7.5 hrs p/d Mon- Fri). Fixed period of 1 year (subject to extension).JOB OVERVIEW This is a contract position within the UK Payroll team. The role is to support the current team of 5 with day to day activities in a very busy and challenging environment, with multiple systems in use. UK Payroll consists of 12 legal entities (all paid monthly) and the total headcount of ca. 5,000 employees. The position reports to the UK Payroll Team Lead based at the location.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESCompleting monthly activities for 12 payrolls which will include but are not exclusive to: Payroll input - overtime, field pay, bonuses, ad hoc payments and deductions Checking of master data changes in Workday and ensuring successful data flow into payroll systems (HRX, SAP) - analysing errors and liaising with multiple teams to ensure corrections are made in time Payroll validation checks Checking and processing new hires and leavers information Statutory payments calculations Processing employee earnings arrestments Raising payments to 3rd party vendors HMRC reconciliation of RTI and PAYE Payroll journals preparation Internal reporting as required Handling employee queriesESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS Proven payroll experience of min. 2 years in oil industry or similar, with headcount above 1,000 employees Strong excel skills Good working knowledge of UK HMRC legislation Strong working experience of automated and integrated payroll systems, particularly knowledge of SAP and Workday Ability to work under pressure, multitasking and work to tight deadlines Excellent organisational skills
