Job Description

Im recruiting on behalf of my client, a Global Freight Company for an experienced Multi Modal Import Coordinator for their Aberdeen Office.If you have a minimum of 2 years experience working in forwarding role and are looking for an exciting new challenge, I would love to chat with you!Duties & Responsibilities include:

  • Assist with the on-boarding of new clients, ensuring smooth transition to service
  • Develop core client relationships to achieve set team goals
  • Work closely with Sales team maintain existing client relationships
  • Attend regular client meetings
  • Provide support to Export Team to realise their objectives
  • Accurate and complete entry of consignment and client information to the system
  • Book shipments with carriers - Airlines, shipping lines and road transport companies
  • Process all shipping documentation including, MAWB, HAWB, Bill of lading, CMR
  • and Standard shipping note
  • Process customs declarations in accordance with instructions and HMRC compliance
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of HM Revenue & Customs regulations
  • Adhere to destination specific documentation requirements
  • Ensure all monthly KPIs are met, and billing requirements are achieved in timely manner
To be considered for this role you will have an excellent understanding of the principles and practices of shipping and freight forwarding and a high attention to detail, the ability to work accurately with figures and concepts of customs clearance.You will have good time management skills and be able to multi-task and work to strict timelines whilst remaining calm, confident, and polite when dealing with customers.
