In collaboration with Design Engineering, they translate product design definitions into optimised manufacturable products. An ME develops and improves manufacturing processes and procedures by applyinginnovation and best practices within the product and manufacturing delivery frameworks. They further optimise associated processes and procedures for safety and efficiency by integrating engineered methods throughout the manufacturing environment. At its core, the manufacturing method must be grounded in HSE-optimised manufacturing solutions for people, businesses, and products. This role will utilise those core ME skills and focus on issues around mobile hydrogen refuelling stations in service and in the field.Manufacturing Engineer Job Duties: Understands, documents, controls and anticipates operations and in-service conditions to ensure mobile hydrogen refuelling equipment performs as intended. Prescribes manufacturing processes to maximise productivity by eliminating wastes; designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; solicitingobservations and experience from operators. Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors. Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes. Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labour, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements.
