We are looking for hard-working and enthusiastic Junior Laboratory Analysts to join our Exploration & Production team in Aberdeen. As a Laboratory Analyst, you will work under the supervision of the Team Leader and perform various tests and tasks in thelaboratory. You will also help with the daily operations and maintenance of the laboratory equipment and facilities.Key Activities:• Conduct tests on samples following the approved technical standards and client specifications under the guidance of senior staff• Compile the test results and draft reports for review and approval by an authorised person before sending them to clients• Manage the inventory and usage of consumables for the section• Maintain the equipment to ensure they operate properly and meet the calibration standards if applicable• Report any technical problems or deviations from the standards to the line manager, providing relevant details as needed• Lead and communicate effectively to foster a collaborative team culture that strives for continuous improvement and resultsAbout You:• Science qualification from college or university• Can demonstrate organisational skills to ensure priorities are met and the ability to plan and organise day-to-day workload with minimal supervision• Willing to be “hands on” working at all levels• Good time management and an ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines.• IT literate to include a good level of skills in MS Office software• Flexible approach to working hours – due to increased workload we are working shift patterns and there is the opportunity for paid overtime.What We Offer:• Competitive hourly rate• Future Development and career opportunities around the Globe• Working in a highly motivated team in a state-of-the-art lab environment
