Job Description

IT Support Engineer Aberdeen (Multiple sites, must have driving license and transport)Up to £30,000 Depending on ExperienceMonday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.30pm (+ paid oncall)My client is looking for customer service focused IT support engineer for their offices in Aberdeen, You will provide 1 & 2nd line support, support for all incidents and service requests. Offering IT support through remote control, telephone support, and in-personassistance, including weekend shift (1 in 3). Install and configure computer hardware, software, systems, networks, and printers, log incidents and requests, manage ticket queues, and take ownership of IT tickets, responding in a timely manner. You will alsomanage all end-user administration tasks, including onboarding and offboarding.Key skills include:

  • Experience in troubleshooting and problem-solving IT support issues.
  • Network experience in LAN, WAN, and WiFi.
  • Proficiency in supporting Windows systems, Active Directory, and Office 365.
  • Knowledge of remote working solutions and VPNs.
  • Familiarity with audio-visual equipment.
  • An understanding of ITIL processes and procedures.
  • Initiative, a positive attitude, and the ability to identify and escalate business-impacting incidents.
  • Strong communication skills, including a confident telephone manner and attention to detail in written communication.
  • Diplomacy and tact when dealing with high-pressure situations.
  • The ability to manage tasks across various areas and prioritise according to SLAs to meet business deadlines.
