Job Description

RECRUITMENTiQ is working in partnership with a businessthat hasgrown from a small estate Joiner business into one of the North East’s leading Construction and HousebuildingCompanies. The Group consists of threeseparate companies.The activities of the Group cover all aspects of the construction and development industry from house building, commercial, industrial, retail, etc. including timber frame design and manufacture.Operationally, the Group trades generally within the North East of Scotland, however, one of the businesses operates throughout the UK.The RoleReporting to the Group HSQE Manager, the successful candidate will:-

  • Be responsible for the review and management of internal audit programs to support ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and PEFC Chain of Custody certification.
  • Work with Director-led project teams to ensure our systems fully support each company’s objectives, and that opportunities for improvement are developed.
  • Facilitate external audits by Certification Bodies, Considerate Constructors, and others where required.
  • Together with the Group HSQE Manager develops information, training, or other programs to address current and future issues.
  • Participate or lead in incident investigations, inspections, inductions, and other activities.
  • Respond to regulatory matters where required (SEPA, HSE, Local Authority, etc).
  • Maintain a good current knowledge of changing standards, regulations, and other relevant issues.
  • Produce reports and present to Senior Management where required.
  • Qualifications and experienceApplicants will have experience supporting robust management systems in a technical environment (Construction, Manufacturing, Engineering, etc) and will have: -
  • An Internal Auditor qualification to recognised national or international standard which must include ISO 9001 and either ISO 45001 or OHSAS 18001.
  • Minimum of NEBOSH Certificate (General or Construction) or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of relevant Management System Standards.
  • Understanding of Environmental and Health & Safety regulatory framework.
  • Ability to identify unsafe situations/opportunities to improve and agree on action plans which are robust and deliverable.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Full driving license.
