Techniche Global are an engineering company with appointing an HR Generalist for a part time contract. You will be responsible for providing day to day operational support to the managers and employees within the UK organisation as well as partnering withthe relevant HR Business Partners in your business area. The position requires team participation and interfaces within all areas of Human Resources such as employee relations, performance/absence management, talent acquisition, compensation and benefits.Pay rate: £23.07 p/hr PAYE + holiday + pension (circa £45k per annum)Location: Tunbridge Wells or Aberdeen (onsite; flexible days/ times)Duration: November 2023- December 2024 (may transfer to perm role)Working hours: 25 hours per weekKey Responsibilities:* You will be seen as a trusted advisor to the local business leaders in your business area, while supporting them to create and maintain a great work environment* Manage employee performance issues and implement corrective actions i.e performance improvement plans* Manage absence cases i.e occupational health, return to work plans, group income protection schemes * Manage ER, grievances and disciplinary cases, including conducting employee investigations* Ensure all local policies and procedures are up to date and aligned with the companys code of conduct as well as local employment law* Manage involuntary terminations and reductions in force* Support talent acquisition i.e interviews, review employment contracts and conduct HR Inductions for new starters* Drive successful execution of new company and business unit initiatives and programs* Partner with HRBPs, Legal, HR & Payroll Shared Service functions and other CoEs to bring value and support to the business as well as fostering the environment of "One HR Team"* Contribute to adhoc EMEA HR projects* Comply with local laws related to ensure a positive, non-discriminatory and safe work environment* Provide local support for corporate initiatives and programs (employee engagement survey) and wellbeing programs* Liaise with external partners, i.e. pension, health and life insurance providers* Provide adhoc support for on-site audit/compliance reviews when necessary* Adhoc administration of employee dataSkills, Knowledge, Experience and Education* Degree holder with professional qualification in HR (CIPD Level 5)* Minimum of 3 years human resources experience in a generalist role, including hands-on experience in managing employee relation cases in the UK* Experienced in working with or supporting HR functions including Compensation and Benefits, Organisational and Talent Development, DEI, Benefits and Talent Acquisition* Enthusiasm for relationship building and partnership across the organisation at all levels in a global matrixed environment* Values working in a team-oriented culture and building consensus with stakeholders before making key decisions* Experience in the engineering industry is considered an advantage* Experience with Workday (HR Management System) is considered an advantage* Fluent written and oral English with strong communication and influencing capabilities* Good knowledge of UK employment labour law* Valid drivers license* Legally eligible to work in the UK
