The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring that SRUC’s built environment for learning is fit for purpose and supports strategic aims. You will work with the Lead Health & Safety Business Partner and colleagues, to ensure that SRUC promotes a positive health & safety culture.The successful candidate will co-ordinate, support and advise the business on all aspects of health & safety at a faculty level and establish, manage and monitor standards, processes, communications, training and systems to ensure all responsibilities associated with health & safety are adhered to.This will include supporting effective policies and procedures that will enhance standards of health & safety across SRUC and supporting legal compliance across our work functions. You will also provide an advisory service on all aspects of environment, health & safety and monitoring safety performance as well as ensuring that SRUC is kept compliant with changes in legislation, best practice and procedures.You will provide competent and risk focussed health & safety advice and assist with Health & Safety training and conducting operational HSE activities. You will support effective policies and procedures which enhance standards of health & safety across SRUC and ensure that all health & safety policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to and are regularly reviewed, updated and communicated and support legal compliance across all SRUC work functions.Further details on the requirements of this role can be found in the Job Particulars document which you must read before applying for this role.
