Job Description

Head of Clinical Services Dee View Court Neurological Care Centre, Aberdeen £51,094 to £59,619 per annum 37.5 hours per week Be there when it matters! Dee View Court, Aberdeen, has an exciting career development opportunity to join Scotland’s only purpose build Neurological Care Centre, as our new Head of Clinical Services. About Us: Our Neurological Care Centre, Dee View Court is a specialist neurological care centre based in Kincorth, Aberdeen. Caring for people aged 18 and over with a range of neurological conditions. At Dee View Court, we provide the care people need to optimise theirhealth and wellbeing, maximise their independence and support their emotional and social needs. About the Role: As our Head of our Clinical Services you will lead the Clinical Services department, and play a vital role in the development of all clinical services at Dee View. You will take responsibility for the quality and the delivery of exceptional care and will alsoact as the Registered Manager for the neurological centre and Care Inspectorate. As well as driving the development of services and the clinical team, you will oversee the day-to-day management of the clinical services. You will offer expertise and inspiring leadership to all you work with, putting patients and families at the heart ofall you do. Your role will also include: - Working with the Service Director and your senior colleagues to map and deliver the vision for Dee View - Developing relationships with key commissioners and our provider colleagues - Working closely with the Director, and Head of Operations to ensure seamless leadership - Ensuring a programme of continuous quality improvement is developed and all staff are supported to deliver this as a team - Leading on the development of new clinical services that respond to demand and best practice About You: We are looking for an exceptional clinical leader with drive and passion, who can organise and prioritise their workload whilst empowering the team to facilitate change. You must be a team player and possess excellent communication skills to join our team andfurther put our clinical services on the map. To join us as our Head of Clinical Services(possibly known elsewhere as Registered Care Manager ), you’ll need: - RN registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council - Experience working within a complex care setting - Clinical leadership and management experience - Experience of service development and successful change management - A relevant management qualification or management experience - An ability to meet the requirements of the Inspectorate registered manager status within three months of being in your post - A relevant degree in Healthcare or equivalent knowledge - To be willing and able to work outside normal hours to achieve deadlines and travel occasionally to other sites within the UK **Later this year The Disabilities Trust will take over the ownership of Sue Ryder’s four neurological services, including Dee View Court, Aberdeen and all staff employed by Sue Ryder at that service will transfer to The Disabilities Trust. The Disabilities Trust supports people with acquired brain injuries, physical disabilities and other neurological conditions and the acquisition of Sue Ryders neurological services is a natural extension to the services the Trust currently provides.
