Job Description

Graduate Naval Architect / Design Engineer (Shipbuilding)£40,000 - £50,000 + 33 days holiday + pension + international travel + fast track training and career progression + hybrid workingAberdeenAre you a graduate Naval architect or design engineer with sea going experience looking to progress your career with an exceptional business that operates the largest wholly UK-owned fleet engaged in the UKs offshore industry in the North SeaAre you looking to become immersed as an integral part of the New Build Project Team, that will be responsible for delivering assigned projects in the delivery of high value Capex projects across a range of applicationsOn offer is the opportunity to join the team as SOV Assistant New Build Project Engineer where the main purpose of the role is to provide technical support for the new build SOVs, reporting to the SOV New Build Lead.Responsibilities:

  • Assist the build team in all aspects of the build program
  • Communicate with Management, Crews, and interdepartmentally,
  • Provide technical assistance throughout the build process locally and remotely,
  • Travel worldwide for support on FATs SATs HATs and equipment and vessel commissioning,
  • To be able to document manage and maintain,
  • Background in mechanical or electrical engineering essential, preference for this to be as a sea going engineer.
  • Ability to understand and interrogate structural and system line drawings.
  • Dry dock and maintenance management experience, preference for shipbuilding
  • Knowledge and understanding of planned maintenance systems.
