Job Description

We are currently looking for an Electrical Designer to join our client’s Construction business based in Scotland. The candidate will be based working from their office in Oldmeldrum but must be willing to travel to sites throughout the UK. Our client specialisesin concept to completion and has been involved in designing, constructing and creating bespoke concrete works for award-winning iconic buildings.Working hours:As an Electrical Designer, you’ll be required to work Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. You may be required to work longer hours if you are travelling.The successful Electrical Designer will be offered:

  • Basic salary of between £40,000 - £55,000 depending on experience.
  • Relocation assistance is available if required
  • Pension
To be considered for the Electrical Designer role you must have:
  • Degree in electrical engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical design, with a focus on high-voltage systems
  • Proficiency in design software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulations
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Willingness to travel to job sites as needed
As an Electrical Designer, your role will involve:
  • Design HV electrical systems for a range of projects, including power generation, transmission, and distribution systems
  • Use software tools to create detailed schematics and drawings
  • Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to ensure that designs meet project requirements, including cost, performance, and safety considerations
  • Conduct calculations and simulations to ensure that designs are optimal for the intended application
  • Review and revise designs in response to feedback from clients and other stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards and regulations
