Change Public Practice are working with a reputable Scottish CA firm to assist them in the recruitment of a Corporate Finance Executive, to be based in either their Aberdeen or Dundee office. This is a rare opportunity to join corporate finance as an unqualifiedprofessional and you will be working on a variety of projects including Mergers & Acquisitions lead advisory, due diligence, and fund-raising support. Youll be working with a variety of clients from early-stage high-growth businesses to large establishedcompanies, lending institutions, private equity funders, and government bodies.The team are open to the type of background that applicants may have which may include audit, accounting & business advisory, or perhaps banking. Youll be part-qualified and looking to continue your studies in this role and be supported through the remainderof your exams. You will be a real go-getter who is keen to establish themselves in a Corporate Finance and have a deep desire to progress their own career with the support of the wider business.Key responsibilities will include: Taking an active role in a variety of transactions including company disposals, acquisitions, debt / equity fundraising and management buy-outs Preparing complex forecast models as well as reviewing and analysing detailed financial information from multiple sources Working closely with the senior staff members as well as working independently to assist on valuations, projections and other business advisory projects Attending meetings with the Partner and/or senior team to support the advice being given and to provide detailed analysis and input as required Drafting transaction material including information / investment memoranda, pitch documents, ad hoc reports and valuation reports Developing and maintaining client relationships and being the primary contact for active transactionsRequirements for the role: Part-Qualified Chartered Accountant i.e. ACCA / ICAS etc. Have a minimum of 12-18 months experience working in a Chartered Accountancy firm, ideally within audit or accounting Local / UK experience is essential A strong desire to work within Corporate Finance with understanding of why your skills will be transferrable May have experience in analysing company financials, ideally with building financial models within Excel; some knowledge of accounting software including Sage and / or Xero would also be beneficial A strong commercial awareness with an eye for detailExceptional interpersonal skills and relationship building skillsThe ability to advise clients on complex technical mattersIf this role appeals to you, and you fit the criteria required for this role, please do get in touch for a confidential chat.
