Due to organic growth, one of Scotlands leading Contentious Construction teams is seeking a solicitor (2+ PQE) to join its team in Aberdeen.This role will come under the wider Construction and Engineering team, and you will provide a full dispute resolution service to this firms enviable client base across the construction industry, within Scotland, but also England, Wales, and Northern Irelandon occasion.Your clients will span both the private and public sectors, ranging from developers, contractors, insurers, funders, and consultants.Due to the complex nature and commercial focus of this work, the successful candidate will have to have at least 2 years PQE in either contentious construction or another form of dispute resolution and can demonstrate commercial awareness and business acumen.Your role will consist of but not be limited to, reviewing, analysing, and providing opinions on all aspects of construction contracts, compiling evidence from client papers and witness statements, analysing clients positions after all of the evidence hasbeen prepared, providing strategic cost-effective advice to bring a resolution.You will also be involved in drafting pleadings and submissions, appearing in court, adjudication, mediation, determination and arbitration, as well as negotiating settlements and supporting and enhancing the teams marketing initiatives.If you are a 2+ PQE Dispute Resolution solicitor in Aberdeen, keen to pursue contentious construction, please reach out to Martin McGhee for a confidential conversation, or apply with an up-to-date CV.#G2JMS
