Job Description

First Achieves Engineering Division have a fantastic opportunity for a Project Engineer with a background/experience in Technical Sales for their client who are a leading organisation in supplying system to the Offshore industry.Reporting to the Operations Director, your role is to provide delivery of high-quality projects safely, on-time and within budget to meet the customers satisfaction. You will also be expected to respond to customer requests, promote the groups activitiesand relationships with customers.The salary on offer is up to £48,000 per annum.The Role:

  • Prepare customer weekly project progress reports.
  • Weekly review and reporting of project finances
  • Prepare for weekly project progress meeting with Operations Director
  • Attend department weekly project meeting.
  • Liaise with all necessary parties to ensure successful delivery of projects.
  • Review progress of projects with manufacturing managers
  • Prepare project schedules as required.
  • Assist with draughting as required.
  • Assist with procurement as required.
  • Carry out internal audits.
  • Ability to identify , understand and collate client requirements.
  • Preparing cost estimates for tendering projects
  • Liaising with client and internal resources on technical aspects of tenders
  • Managing the build phase of secured projects, preparing project schedules , tracking of cost, resource planning, maintaining communication with client throughout project, raising project variations
  • Manage/Grow spares parts segment of business.
  • On time delivery of weekly financial report to Operations Director
  • Timeless and accuracy of project close out review.
  • Timely completion and delivery of detailed project financial review
  • Ensure successful closeout in accordance with company procedure.
  • Raise all necessary invoices and variations.
  • Contribute to continual improvement of processes and procedures.
Skills/Experience
  • Experience as a project engineer in a similar role would be expected.
  • Experience from the oil and gas industry, preferable but not essential
  • Module engineering/ design knowledge would be preferable.
  • Engineering qualification (min HND)
  • Proven ability to coordinate projects.
  • Knowledge of offshore standards necessary
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft office suite
  • Ability to read, interpret, understand and apply standards.
Whats on Offer
  • Salary : Up to £48k
  • Hours of Work : 37.5 hours per week, 8.30 - 5.00 with an hour for lunch each day (degree of flexibility to start / finish time)
  • Holidays : 33 days incls 4 x PH which are 25 & 26 Dec and 1 & 2 Jan
