Job Description

REED Engineering are delighted to be working alongside an Oil & Gas service company to add a CNC Machine Operator to their team on a permanent basis.Based in the Dyce area of Aberdeen, you will play a key part in a close knit team in the production of subsea equipment.As CNC Machine Operator, you will mainly be setting up and running jobs on CNC lathes and 3 & 4 axis VMCs. Other duties of the role will include, but not be limited to:

  • Set tools on VMCs
  • Set tools on lathes
  • Work with jigs and fixtures
  • Achieve the dimensional accuracy and surface finish required
  • Finish and deburr all manufactured parts
  • Maintenance of tool inventory
  • Cleaning of machines
To be suited for this role, we are seeking candidates with:
  • A completed machining apprenticeship (ideally with post-apprenticeship experience)
  • Experience of working with Haas machinery (HIGHLY DESIRABLE, NOT ESSENTIAL)
  • The ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings
  • Knowledge of vertical machining centres
  • Knowledge of CNC lathes
  • Experience of working as a CNC Miller, Setter/Operator
