Clinical Team LeaderWe have excellent opportunity for an experienced Clinical Team Leader also known as a Charge Nurse, to manage a team of registered nurses and care assistants at a state of the art Neurological Care Centre.Location: AberdeenSalary: £20.16 - £22.61 per hour depending on experience (plus 30% enhancement for nights (8pm-6am) and weekend working)Contract: Full time, permanent. 36.25 hours per week (3 shifts per week working 19:00 to 07:15)Be there when it matters!About the role:As Clinical Team Leader you will ensure the effective assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of high standards of holistic care for service users.You will be working at Scotlands only purpose-built specialist neurological centre providing care for people living with complex neurological conditions. It is newly expanded centre which has 36 single bedrooms available for residential care and 6 supportedliving apartment for one person, it has a kitchen and a lounge to help people maintain their independence for as long as possible.Key Responsibilities

• You will have responsibility to ensure effective performance management of all clinical staff in line with policies and procedures for recruitment, induction, development, supervision, appraisal and discipline.
• To lead the nursing team in developing the quality of nursing care, acting as a source of support and advice to colleagues and relatives
• To ensure that clinical care is provided in line with multi professional, evidence based care plans, is timely and appropriate and that Sue Ryder policies and procedures are adhered to
• Take responsibility for a service user group, consulting and liaising with the multi-disciplinary team, service users, family/carers over their care
• Liaise and communicate with other health and social care professionals in-house and outside agencies in the planning and delivery of service user care, including junior doctors on placement
• Prioritise health problems and intervene appropriately to assist the service user in complex, urgent or emergency situations, including initiation of effective emergency care
• Assess, plan, develop, implement and evaluate individualised care using evidence based guidelines

About you:As Clinical Team Leader you will the following skills and experience:

• Registered Nurse or degree level qualification, possible further study.
• Experience in specialist palliative or neurological care depending on service requirement. Committed to service user involvement.
• Demonstrable experience of practising in a self-directed and highly motivated way
• An ability to provide teaching and mentorship in a clinical setting
• Able to effectively manage change and manage performance
• Clinical leadership skills
• Skills in leading clinical practice development for client group
• Proven skills in leading, building and influencing
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, including an ability to communicate difficult messages to service users and their families
• Negotiation and conflict management skills
