Maggie’sClinical or Counselling Psychologist – AberdeenMaggie’s are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to join the team at the Aberdeen centre.The post-holder, as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, will be responsible for the provision of a high-quality and specialist programme of psychological and emotional support.They will be responsible for contributing to the provision of Maggie’s programme of psycho-educational support and in collaboration with the Centre Head for developing aspects of Maggie’s programme and the manner of its delivery in accordance with Maggie’s policies and procedures, and for piloting and evaluating such initiatives within their Centre in collaboration with the Centre Head and in accordance with Maggie’s Research and audit policy.The post-holder will be responsible for the facilitation of support groups, networking groups, workshops, courses and lectures and will have responsibility for enabling people affected by cancer to access all appropriate elements of Maggie’s programme of support.The post-holder will be responsible for ongoing review of the literature in relation to psychosocial support in relation to Maggie’s programme. They will be responsible for providing teaching input within the local community regarding Maggie’s model of psychosocial support and the theoretical and cultural underpinnings to the programme.The post-holder will have responsibility for recording data in relation to their own work in accordance with Maggie’s policies and procedures and for participation in ongoing programme and practice evaluation in relation to both their own work and that of programme activity within their centre.
