Job Description

HGV CLASS 2 DRIVEROur client is looking for a HGV Class 2 Driver to join their team. Youll be working on behalf of our client and its customers. Providing a first class service with their team, tis role is based on working the following shift pattern:Monday - Friday (45 hours) (Dayshift)ORSaturday 5am to approx 1pm (6 to 8 hours) and Sunday 6am to approx 2pm (6 to 8 hours)Relevant COVID-19 precautions will be taken during the recruitment process for this roleLooking for a shift they havent mentioned Our client is happy to offer flexibility regarding shifts and hours wherever possible.Get in touch today to discuss how our client can work with you.HGV DRIVER DUTIES:

  • Planning delivery schedules and routes with transport manager
  • Supervising and helping to load and unload goods
  • Ensure the vehicle is loaded and unloaded safely and within the legislation
  • Following traffic reports and changing your route if necessary
  • Safeguard the security of the vehicle and goods contained during transit to the customer
  • Completing delivery paperwork and logbooks
  • Refuel and clean vehicle
HGV DRIVER REQUIREMENTS:
  1. A valid Category C (Class 2) Drivers Licence with a maximum of 6 points, for insurance purposes
  2. A valid digital tacho card and CPC card
  3. No previous disqualifications NI, DD or DR
  4. A detailed understanding of the rules and regulation around drivers hours
  5. Physically fit to meet the demands of a multi-drop driving role
  6. Hardworking, positive and a flexible attitude to work
  7. Undergo a background check and drug/alcohol test if successful
