Social Worker for Children In Need Team - Scottish Local Authority, North EastFrom £21.50- £31.98 an hour dependent on experience and qualifications. Service Area: Children and FamiliesNormal Place of Work: Aberdeen CityNormal Pattern of Work: 37 hours per week, 8.30am - 5pmProposed Start Date: ASAP Proposed End Date: Minimum of 3-6 monthsThe Social Care Community Partnership are currently looking to recruit a Social Worker for Integrated Children and Family Services at Aberdeen City Council. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for one of Scotlands largest Councils and to make a realdifference in the lives of looked after children and children in need. Newly Qualified Social Workers with some experience working within a Children and Families setting will also be considered!We are looking for a social worker with experience of Childrens Services in Scotland to work with children who are looked after and accommodated, the worker will require assessments skills and report writing skills in addition to interpersonal skills torelate to children and families. The team operates a city-wide service and the role will involve travelling around the city (driving licence is a plus). The worker will receive excellent support and supervision. To start as soon as possible.ExperienceIdeally applicants should have at least 1 year of UK post qualifying experience within a Children and Families social work context and have a proven ability in carrying out initial assessments, IERs and social background reports.Applicants MUST possess a relevant qualification in Social Work e.g. CCETSW, DipSW, Batchelor Degree or Masters in Social Work and be willing to arrange a face to face appointment to register with one of our Consultants or Care Managers at our office basedin Loanhead - other arrangements can be made if this is not possible.The successful applicant must also have current registration with the Scottish Social Services Council and possess a recent PVG Scheme Record through Disclosure Scotland, this can be applied for through our agency. Post Qualifying awards in Child Protectionand Joint Interview Training highly desirable.
