Centre Director - Sue Ryder Neurological Care Centre, Dee View CourtAberdeen37.5 hours per week with some on call and flexibility required per the service needs£65k per annumBe there when it matters. We are here for people with conditions that get worse over time - such as Huntingtons disease,motor neurone disease, multiple sclerosis and Parkinsons disease - as well as those with conditions resulting from a brain or spinal injury, or stroke.There is a huge range of support on offer, including long-term residential care, rehabilitative services to help people to improve or regain their abilities and day services to enable people to remain independent at home.Our focus is on giving every person the help they need to live their life in the way they choose.About the RoleSue Ryder is recruiting for a Centre Director to lead Scotlands largest and only purpose-built Neurological Care Centre based in Aberdeen.Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer and supported by an excellent local Senior Management Team, the Centre Director will be responsible for formulating, setting and delivering the strategic development of the services. They will formulate an annual operationalplan consistent with the agreed strategy putting patients and service users first in the delivery of high-quality services. Maintaining and building on external relationships with local commissioning bodies and inspectorates is critical to the role, alongwith internal relationships to include the Directors of other Sue Ryder Neurological Care Centres, the Director of Patient Services and Nursing and the Group Medical Director.About youThe Centre Director should have a demonstrable track record of leading and managing successful operations and strategic development for a large regional health care provider including growing services in size and scope. This could be from either a Clinicalor Operational background. They must be able to evidence strong leadership presence, strategic and financial acumen, and delivery with decisiveness and accountability. Experience of successful relationship management is essential.Importantly, the Centre Director must be an effective communicator with strong empathy with the Charitys vision and goals. Their personal values should match with those of Sue Ryder. They should include evidence of personal drive, energy and the ability todeliver outcomes to the highest standard, demonstrating commitment and courage to see things through.Salary circa £65,000 per annumWe reserve the right to close this vacancy should we have sufficient applicants to shortlist.
