Applications are invited for the post of ST 3+ LAT in Plastic Surgery at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary (ARI) and Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital (RACH). The LAT registrar post will run from 3rd February 2021 for 6 months UNTIL 03 August 2021. The unit has extensive experience in Free Flap Surgery, Hand Surgery, Paediatric Plastic Surgery and Skin Cancer Surgery. Aberdeen Royal Infirmary has a strong track record in international training courses. There will also be an opportunity to develop skills in teaching during these courses.The LAT Registrar will rotate between Units in ARI, and RACH both of which perform complex surgery routinely. The successful candidate will have exceptional hands-on experience, as the main emphasis will be training in theatre. Participation in the Emergency On-Call Rota is expected. The Postgraduate Dean confirms that this placement and / or programme has the required educational and Postgraduate Deans approval.Full registration with a licence to practise with the GMC is required.
