The Neurosurgery Unit is looking for a dynamic, caring, reliable and motivated Senior Staff Nurses who is committed to providing consistently high levels of patient care but also has the ability to work alongside the Senior Charge Nurse to support and guide junior members of the team. Ward 205 is an 18 bedded ward and 6 Close Observation Unit where we care for a wide range of Neuroscience patients some of which have complex needs, requiring the expertise from our large multidisciplinary team. The area can be stressful and very busy at times therefore applicants must have the ability to remain calm under pressure, the ability to use their initiative and make decisions.It is an area with great job satisfaction allowing the nurse to make a difference within a patients’ journey. The candidate will be supported to develop their educational needs and help the unit achieve National Benchmarks within Neurosurgical Nursing.The successful candidate will be expected to complete The Principles and Practice of Neuroscience Nursing at the Queen Margaret University.Informal visits highly recommended, please contact Claire McNab Senior Charge Nurse onAn attractive relocation allowance of up to £8,000 is available to successful candidates.
