This is an opportunity for an enthusiastic and suitably qualified/ experienced individual to join a small team of staff in providing customer focused and responsive technical support for Radiology staff and NHS Grampian wide users of Radiology IT systems. The ideal candidate will be either from an IT background with a sound understanding of clinical workflows or a clinical background with strong IT skills. You will be primarily responsible for training and supporting users in the use of radiology IT systems such as Picture Archive & Communication System (PACS), Radiology Information System (RIS), Soliton, Voice recognition software and digital imaging modalities.You will also be actively involved in the maintenance, support and administration of these systems. You will participate in supporting clinical staff in developments and projects within radiology i.e. the deployment of new technologies or implementation of new equipment & systems etc and will regularly liaise with staff from Radiology and other NHSG services.You will enjoy working in a busy environment, managing multiple priorities, both planned and unexpected, in a supportive and friendly service. You will possess proven experience in supporting Medical IT/ Radiology IT systems & excellent communication skills and be able to demonstrate a history of effective teamwork experience.Radiology provides services across 15 sites in Grampian, the largest being the Foresterhill Health Campus. Although based in Aberdeen, the post may require attendance at any of the radiology sites.
