Reporting to the Global Product Development Manager & UK General Manager you will be responsible for the department product development, formulation, production and testing of laboratory samples. Further responsibilities include ensuring the laboratory conformsto regulatory standards such as REACH, IATF 16949 & ISO 14001.Client DetailsMy client are leading experts for the automotive industry with engineered materials and application systems for bonding, coating, sealing and dampingDescriptionThe key responsibilities are-* Management and project setting for a team of development technicians/engineers.* Strong follow up of concerns and project progress.* Regulatory compliance in line with REACH legislation.* Perform full cost product calculations based on product formulation* Solving problems with existing products and overcome new product development hurdles. .* Prepare for and Attend technical meetings at customers.* Attending customer application trials.* Support activities at customers plants - intermittent customer visits on a technical basis.* Liaison with sales personnel.* Preparation of laboratory samples.* Testing to customer specifications.* Preparation of laboratory test reports.* Process involvement projects.* Reformulation of existing products to meet customer demands.* Project maintenance according to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & IATF 16949.* Contact with new raw material suppliers.* Participation within the structure of the Development and Customer Support Team.* Compliance with the company health and safety policy within the Laboratory.* Maintenance of good house-keeping within the department.* Participate in weekly management meeting.* Product data sheet preparation and distribution (MSDS/TDS)* Site waste management* Preparation of packaging returnsProfileThe successful Candidate will have-
